Regional Competitive

Regional competitive gymnastics offers a structured programme that provides an opportunity for gymnasts who are keen to develop routines and participate in interclub and regional competitions.

The Regional Competitive programme is more relaxed training atmosphere suited to gymnasts who wish to experience the fun and challenge that competitions can offer without the intensity of training that the WAG STEPS or MAG Levels national competition programme requires.

Gymnasts will practice routines on four pieces of apparatus; Vault, Bar, Beam (Rings for boys) and Floor.

It is quite common for gymnasts to progress into the Nationally recognised competitive programmes such as WAG STEPS or MAG Levels from the Regional Competitive programme when a gymnasts wants to compete at a higher level and dedicate more hours to the sport.
